Kukhari village (Kyiv region) is one of the most affected by the occupation. In March, heavy battles took place there. 70% of the houses in the village were destroyed and damaged.
UHF allocated the first grant
to reconstruct the most affected houses, whose residents have nowhere to go.

Twenty professional builders worked on the reconstruction.
- We dismantled damaged parts of the multi-apartment building, rebuilt the rafter system, and covered it with a new metal roof. It helped 16 families save their homes from rain and snow.
- Three houses on the main street got new roofs and walls. The mortar shelling of the village damaged them.
- In one specific house, we renovated part of the foundation, made a monolithic belt, made a new wall. Then we covered this house with a new roof.
- In two private houses, we redid the roof, strengthened the walls, and restored the gables, knocked out by artillery shelling.
